PAPPE-FIGUREN: Viele Bilder aus Pappe gehörten zur sogenannten Kriegs-Ware. Auf manchen Figuren steht auf der Rückseite ein Hinweis-Stempel, dass die Produktion „vorübergehend“ auf Pappe erfolgt. Meist sind damit die Jahre des 2. Weltkriegs gemeint. Oder eine Manufaktur testete lediglich, ob die Kunden auch Wandfiguren aus Pappe kaufen würden – manche Pappe-Figuren scheinen aus den Vorkriegsjahren zu stammen! 🇬🇧 CARDBOARD FIGURES: Some manufacturers switched to cardboard material during the 2nd World War. There is a stamp on the back of some cardboard figures that said: “Painted on cardboard for a while”. However, some producers seem also to have tested the cardboard material before the beginning of the war – they appear to be from the earlier 1930s.
