1950s Graupner: Dove Circle Cinderella with Open Hair ❒

In the fifties and sixties is was a ritual in many families to have the mother read a fairy tale at bedtime. Many households had only one or two fairy tale books. The most popular used to be the Brother Grimm’s fairy tales followed by Hans Christian Andersen’s stories. If a grown up sees one of his or her old books, old feelings are likely to pop up, triggered by the drawings but also about the look and feel of the old book. (Graupner/Graubele-Catalog 5268)
