EIFEL ÖLGEMÄLDE: Es gibt eine Reihe von Eifelkunst-Holzbildern, die immer noch stark nach Ölfarbe riechen, obwohl sie im 2. Weltkrieg entstanden (1939-1945). In diesen Kriegsjahren malte Ilse Schneider ihre Motive häufig auf rechteckige Holzbrettchen statt auf ausgesägte Figuren, denn die Männer, die in der Regel die Dekupiersäge bedienten, mussten in den Krieg.

🇬🇧 EIFEL OIL PAINTINGS: There are some Eifel-Kunst wood pictures that still have a strong oil paint smell, although they were produced in the 2nd World War (1939-1945). During those wartime years Ilse Schneider painted many of her motives on small wooden boards instead of figures: The men who usually operated the scroll saw had to go war. Some of those tiny oil paintings were as small as a postcard and much thicker than the usual wall figures. (3/4)
