K. KUNSTGEWERBE: Von diesem Hersteller kenne ich bisher nur eine einzige kleine Figur, eine ungewöhnliche und übergriffige kleine Sonnenbrillenhexe, vermutlich aus den 1930er Jahren. Hänsel oder Gretel (man kann es nicht genau sehen, weil die Hexenhand hinter den Köpfen der Kinder ist), werden im Gesicht berührt. Die Figur ist gut gezeichnet und hat hinten eine Art Extra-Aufbau; vermutlich für die Aufhängung gedacht. Auf der Rückseite findet sich auch ein runder Stempel: ein großes “K” mit einem dicken Punkt dahinter. Kreisförmig umrahmt wird dieses “K.” von dem Wort “Kunstgewerbe”. Wenn ein Kunsthandwerkbetrieb extra einen aufwändigen Stempel entwerfen lässt, darf man vermuten, dass er noch viele zusätzliche Wandfiguren hergestellt hat. Ich bin gespannt, welche antiken Motive von “K. Kunstgewerbe” ich vielleicht bis 2050 noch kennenlernen werde: In dem Jahr würde ich 87 Jahre alt werden.

🇬🇧 K. Kunstgewerbe: I only know one small figure from this manufacturer so far, an unusual and a bit aggressive little witch with sunglasses, probably from the 1930s. Hansel or Gretel (you can’t see it clearly because the witch’s hand is behind the children’s heads) are touched on the face. The figure is well drawn and has a kind of extra structure on the back; probably intended for hanging. There is also a round stamp: a large „K“ with a thick dot behind it. This „K.“ is surrounded in a circle by the word „Kunstgewerbe.“ If an arts and crafts company has an elaborate stamp specially designed, you can assume that they have produced many more wood plaques like the one described. I am curious to see which antique motifs from „K. Kunstgewerbe“ I might get to know until 2050: My 87th birthday would be in that year. (4/5)
