HELLER, HERBSTBLATT-ELFE: Eines der allerschönsten Märchen-Holzbilder von Magda Heller ist die auf einem Herbstblatt schwebende kleine Elfe im kurzen Hoodiekleid. Sie taucht erstmalig im 1930er Hellerkunst-Katalog auf, wo sie den Namen „Gilbhard“ trägt; eine altdeutsche Bezeichnung für den Monat Oktober. Normalerweise hat das kurze Kapuzenkleid der Elfe ein kräftiges Blau, ein Royalblau, aber ich kenne auch eine Variante mit einem helleren Blau. Außerdem gibt es eine winzige Miniversion als Christbaumschmuck, mit roten Wangen und beidseitig bemalt. Die wunderschöne Hellerkunst-Herbstblatt-Elfe wurde häufig kopiert; man sieht die Kopien manchmal mit einem roten Kleidchen.

🇬🇧 HELLER, LEAF FAIRY: One of Magda Heller’s most beautiful German Wall Figures is the little elf child in a short hoodie dress, floating on an autumn leaf. It appears for the first time in the 1930 Hellerkunst catalog, where it bears the name “Gilbhard”; an old German name for the autumn month of October. Normally the short hooded dress has a strong blue, a royal blue, but I also know a version with a lighter blue. There is also a tiny version as a Christmas tree decoration, with red cheeks and painted on both sides.
