INFO Märchen-Holzbilder / Manufakturen / Griah-Kunst, Kleur en Profiel, Niederlande: Von Griah-Kunst kenne ich bisher nur eine Figur, den kleinen Holland-Tracht-Jungen mit schwarzen Pluderhosen und hohem schwarzen Hut; er hält er ein großes Ei und Geschenkpakete in den Händen. Rückseiten-Stempel: “Griah-Kunst, Kleur en Profiel, Namaak verboden (Nachahmung verboten)”. Die Figur scheint aus den 1930er Jahren zu stammen. Ich vermute, dass es weitere Wandfiguren von Griah-Kunst gab, denn der Stempel ist sehr aufwändig gestaltet, mit einer Art Schriftrolle; er wurde damals sicher nicht nur für ein einziges Holzbild hergestellt. Griah-Kunst könnte ein Vorläufer des Herstellers “Kleur en Profiel” sein, der in Tiel (Holland) sein Atelier hatte. Dagegen spricht der unterschiedliche Stil; das hübsche Griah-Kind hat sehr große Augen, und das Augenweiß ist deutlich sichtbar. Weiß jemand mehr über Griah-Kunst oder Kleur & Profiel? 🇬🇧 German Wall Figures / Manufactories / Griah-Kunst, Kleur en Profiel, Netherlands: So far I only know one wood plaque from Griah-Kunst, the little boy in traditional Dutch costume with black harem pants and a tall black hat; He is holding a large egg and gift packages in his hands. The stamp says “Griah-Kunst, Kleur en Profiel, Namaak verboden (imitation prohibited)”. The figure appears to be from the 1930s. I suspect that there were other wall figures by Griah Art, because the stamp is very elaborate, with a kind of scroll; it was certainly not made just for just one motif. Griah-Kunst could be a forerunner of the manufacturer “Kleur en Profiel”, who had his studio in Tiel (Holland). The different style speaks against this though, because the pretty Griah child has very large eyes and the whites of the eyes are clearly visible.
