MIT SOCKEL: Viele der frühen Märchen-Holzbilder hatten einen (meist braunen) Sockel. Das ermöglichte das Einfügen der Figur in Garderoben oder ein Diorama, ohne dass von dem eigentlichen Motiv etwas fehlte. 🇬🇧 WITH BASE: Many of the early wood pictures had a base, most often a brown one. That made it easy to crop the tip and fit it into a children’s coat rack without harming the motive.
