CHRIJO MÜLLER: Dieser alte Hersteller erinnert mit seinem bunten und humorvollen Stil ein wenig an Comic-Zeichnungen – zum Beispiel bei der Frau Holle mit der Dirndl-Goldmarie, die sich gegenseitig anschauen. Der Rückseiten-Stempel lautet: „Kunstgewerbl. Werkstätten Chrijo Müller Hann. Münden“ (Niedersachsen). Ich vermute, dass Chrijo Müller in den 1930er-Jahren produziert hat, aber eventuell besteht auch ein Zusammenhang mit Ruth Müller, die die Mini-Stadtansichten „Münden in der Schachtel“ aus Holz hergestellt hat. Allerdings kam Ruth Müller erst 1945 (als Ostflüchtling) nach Hann. Münden. Datiert kenne ich bisher nur eine Kopie des Chrijo-Müller-Nachtwächters mit der Widmung „Weihnachten 1945“. Alle Chrijo-Müller-Motive sind einzigartig, originell und aus besonders dickem Holz gefertigt. 🇬🇧 CHRIJO MUELLER: This old manufacturer’s colorful and humorous style is somewhat reminiscent of comic strip drawings – for example, the Mother Holle with the dirndl Goldmarie, who are gazing at each other. The stamp on the back reads: “Kunstgewerbl. Werkstätten Chrijo Mueller Hann. Münden” (Lower Saxony). I believe that Chrijo Mueller produced his work in the 1930s, but there may also be a connection to Ruth Mueller, who created the miniature wooden cityscapes “Münden in a Box.” However, Ruth Mueller didn’t arrive in Hann. Münden until 1945 (as a refugee from the East). So far, I know of only one dated copy of the Chrijo Mueller night watchman, bearing the dedication “Christmas 1945.” All Chrijo Mueller motifs are unique, original, and made from particularly thick wood.
