GRAUPNER, COMICS: Johannes Graupner (Graubele) war der erfolgreichste Hersteller von Vorlagen für Laubsägearbeiten im letzten Jahrhundert. Dieser Hersteller hat sich nicht gescheut, viel Geld in gute Zeichnerinnen und Zeichner zu investieren und auch für lizensierte Motive zu bezahlen. So erschienen unter anderem Walt Disney Motive wie Bambi, Donald Duck, Tick Trick und Track, Goofy, Micky Maus, Pluto und viele andere auf den bedruckten Laubsäge-Brettchen. Darüber hinaus gab es auch Tom und Jerry, die Biene Maja, Asterix, Pünkelchen, die Karl-May-Helden und das BRD-Sandmännchen von Graupner sowie viele andere Motive, die man damals aus dem Fernsehen oder aus Büchern, Comicheften und Cartoons kannte.

This manufacturer was not afraid to invest a lot of money in good illustrators and also to pay for licensed motifs. Walt Disney motifs such as Bambi, Donald Duck, Huey, Dewey and Louie, Goofy, Mickey Mouse, Pluto and many others appeared on the printed fretsaw boards. There were also Tom and Jerry, Maya the Bee, Asterix, the Pinkeltje Fingerling, the Karl May heroes and the BRD Little Sandman, as well as many other motifs that were familiar from television or from books as well as comics and cartoons back then.
