Just after the Second World War Hedi Duell had to earn money to support her two little sons Willi and Horst. She did several jobs, one of them being cleaning, but one was copying Fairy Tale Wood Pictures that had hung in her little sons bedrooms. A clothes store in ROTHENBURG OB DER TAUBER sold her wall figures. Horst Duell, her son, remembers that most of the customers were US soldiers who bought them for their families back home. The price was around six or seven German Reichsmark, her son Horst Duell told me in the new century.
